Meet The Founder
Mohd Hafifi, the founder of Mountain Trail Pro (MTP Outdoor Ventures), has a deep-rooted passion for outdoor adventures and environmental sustainability. Established in 2015 in Tanjung Malim, Perak, MTP began with Hafifi’s journey as a dedicated mountain guide in Gunung Liang. Over the years, he has transformed his passion into a full-time career, making significant contributions to the outdoor adventure scene in Peninsular Malaysia, particularly in Perak.
Beyond his role as a mountain guide, Hafifi is an avid adventurer. In 2019, he undertook a solo bicycle tour across mainland Southeast Asia, demonstrating his love for exploration and resilience. This journey allowed him to connect with diverse cultures, test his endurance, and further fuel his passion for outdoor challenges.
Since 2018, Mohd Hafifi has been an active member of Persatuan Malim Gunung Malaysia (PMGM) and certified Malim Gunung Perhutanan Perak by the Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia (JPSM). He has played a key role in organizing and participating in various training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of mountain guides. His dedication to the profession is evident in his leadership of significant initiatives, such as the recent "Program Pemantapan Malim Gunung Perak Selatan dan Porter Bersama Orang Asli Behrang," which focuses on empowering local mountain guides and porters, including the Orang Asli community in Behrang. This program highlights Hafifi's commitment to fostering inclusive growth and sustainability in the outdoor guiding industry.
